DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – The Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services, known as ADAMHS, is launching an app as a way to treat patients.

The agency says the app, which is compatible with both an iPhone and Android, is designed to help get people into treatment. The idea of using an app is to get people who need treatment the help they need more quickly and efficiently. “Most people don’t know where to turn for help when they have a crisis going on,” said the executive director for ADAMHS, Helen Jones-Kelley. “And that’s the last time you want them to try to flip through pages and across the internet to try to locate something.”

In order to use the app, which is called ‘Get Help Now Montgomery County,’ you just enter your zip code and the app lists services available in the area and a map to get you there.
